ASHLEY SHEGOG

CHAIR

ASHLEY SHEGOG (she/her/hers) is a consultant, marketing professional, and author with extensive experience as an operations manager, marketing and change management consultant. As the founder of Liaison Plus, a digital solutions company, Ashley has experience with nonprofits and can currently be found as a Customer Success Partner with TheGuarantors. Excited to see RYCO continue to push boundaries, touch hearts, make important changes in the entertainment industry.

CHRISTINA DENISON

VICE CHAIR

CHRISTINA DENISON is passionate about helping others use their strengths to accomplish their goals. She has worked in higher education for sixteen years, assisting students to reach their educational and professional aspirations. Christina is the Associate Director of the William O. Douglas Honors College at Central Washington University. In addition to her years of professional administrative experience, she has nonprofit board experience. Christina is honored to lend her talents in support of RYCO’s founder, Ry Armstrong.

ASHLEY ALLEMEIER

ASHLEY ALLEMEIER (she/her/hers) is based in Seattle, WA. She works full-time as a paraeducator and is completing a Master of Arts in Teaching, specializing in Health/Fitness and Library Media. Her background is in psychology, working formerly as a behavior therapist and earning a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway, University of London. When not working or studying, she can be found hiking, road-tripping, biking, reading, watercoloring, or watching movies. Always a patron and lover of the arts, she is excited to be a part of this amazing company as it carves a path for diversity and representation in the arts and entertainment industry.

KATE CANNOVA

KATE CANNOVA (she/her/hers) is the founder of Kate Cannova Productions, a NYC-based production company working globally in theatrical production, event planning and production, and exhibition production. Broadway productions include: Funny Girl, The Kite Runner, Head Over Heels, The Visit (Tony nomination), The Scottsboro Boys (Tony nomination, Olivier nomination, Evening Standard Best Musical), The Anarchist, and more. She is currently developing two new musicals and is thrilled to be a part of the Museum of Broadway. Kate is fiercely committed to the democratization of theatrical production. She is a proud graduate of the USC School of Dramatic Arts and has a Master’s Degree in Producing and General Management from Columbia University. Kate is a member of the Broadway League, the Broadway Women's Alliance, and the USC SDA Alumni Leadership Council.

ALEX MCDERMOTT

ALEX MCDERMOTT (she/her/hers) is a New York based artist and AADP Board Certified holistic nutritionist. Passionate about helping people lead full, whole, and ultimately healthful lives - she believes in a whole person approach in all aspects of her work, whether it be performing or nutrition. Alex seeks to create work that is purposeful while uplifting womxn and queer artists. Alex is excited to create space to highlight the storytelling of these communities.

SAM WAGNER

SAM WAGNER (she/her/hers) is a structural engineer and current project consultant in the Repair and Rehabilitation Structural Engineering group at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. Based in Boston, she graduated with my Bachelors and Masters of Science from the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Northeastern University. She is exhilarated to be involved in the creative endeavors of RYCO Theatricals and cannot wait to see how the company continues to develop.

JOY WALSH

JOY WALSH (she/her/hers) is a Barbadian-American Filmmaker and published photographer from Long Island, New York. Her degrees in TV Broadcasting and Film Production lead her to settle in Brooklyn, where she continues to nurture her creative spirit. Her most notable work is the short film “God is the DJ - The Musical,'' which has received awards from notable film festivals in categories such as Best Cinematography and Best Writing. As part of the Board of Directors for RYCO Theatricals, Joy desires to ensure diversity and inclusivity is at the forefront of all projects developed at this company.

JOY WILSON

JOY WILSON (she/her/hers) is a Customer Support Manager for a tech startup with over 10 years experience in the client relations industry. Her experience has helped grow her skills in the 5 P’s of customer service - she is professional, personable, passionate, perceptive and purposeful. All of these attributes will allow her to be of service to the RYCO Board and the mission to develop and produce theatrical productions for the stage and screen. In addition to her experience, she is a long-time confidant, supporter, and soundboard to RYCO’s founder, Ry Armstrong, and will do all that she can to contribute to the success of this company.

RY ARMSTRONG (they/them) is uniquely positioned as an artist and activist to innovate the intersections of storytelling for a modern world. As a creative, they have worked on Tony-nominated and Grammy-nominated projects utilizing collaboration skills, new technology, and a commitment to finding and telling the truth. The work they do stems from their passions for finding solutions to systemic problems that range from queer liberties to social justice to combatting climate change. They founded this company back in 2013 with a dream to make a charity album for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. Now, they work within the industry to shepherd forward projects that will define the future of arts development.
